Neigborhood
Our tenants should feel at home not only in their four walls, but in their local environment as well. So we make a point of creating the prerequisites for an intact neighborhood structure. Through a variety of tenant incentives, from the ordinary to the unconventional, we promote community directly on site. For example, in our "Prettiest Balcony" competition in Berlin-Marzahn, tenants had a chance to win prizes like free rent for a certain period. Actions like this promote interaction and provide incentives for tenants to assume "ownership" of their personal environment
And because we feel it is important, we also take part in local initiatives and projects, particularly those that benefit children and youths. By building playgrounds and supporting athletic clubs like the Steelers, Salzgitter's hockey team, the Flying Baskets in Itzehoe or soccer players in Berlin-Marzahn, we get the kids off the streets and offer them alternative leisure activities. In many of these projects, our executives work closely with the clubs and city administrations.
